PEACE EDUCATION FOUNDATION AND THE PONTIFICAL JAVERIANA UNIVERSITY PARTNER FOR PEACE: BOGOTA, COLOMBIA – APRIL 25-30, 2017

As part of an ongoing collaborative agreement, faculty from the schools of Education and Political Science are trained by Peace Education Foundation facilitators in our dynamic Conflict Resolution and Mediation Model. They in turn are now conducting classes in the University’s School of Continuing Education and reaching remote rural indigenous communities impacted by decades of violent conflict with seminars that support and implement Colombia’s reconciliation and peace process and foster “sustainable green communities for peace.”

Understanding the need for Peace Rules thorugh the use of creative storytelling and role play of the “Little Red Hen”…We listen to each other; Hands are for helping not hurting; We use I-Care Language; We care about each other’s feelings, We are responsible for what we say and do….

Participants play the “Card Status Game” which helps unravel systemic prejudice and racism in society and our lives.
